"The wind diverters that we installed on our fans at SunBest Foods of Iowa, work well for light control also. Fans with regular cones and shutters the light reading was about 4.20 and with the black wind diverter the reading was 1.02. We installed some of there diverters on our fans that ran all the time and this did help to stabilize temperature in the house compared to other houses when the wind was blowing. We put this wind diverter on the north side of a house and it did help with the condensation problem we were having when the north wind blew in winter months."
